It has been reported that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is moving for AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong.
The Daily Star Sunday reported that the Dutch international is the holding midfielder the United boss is seeking.
Van Gaal currently has four midfielders Injured – Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard.
That prompted United’s Dutch boss to admit United are “thin” in midfield.
