Latest transfer news are out and it has been reported that Le Mans goalkeeper Yoann Pele is being monitored by English champions Manchester United.
Local media has reported that the 6ft 5in Le Mans ace, 26, has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and host of other European clubs.
But it is believed that United boss Alex Ferguson is favourite to sign Pele, who is seen as the perfect understudy to Edwin van der Sar.
Pele has spent his entire career at Le Mans, making his debut in Ligue 2 in the 1-0 defeat at FC Istres in September 2002. He established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper in the 2004–05 season as the club won promotion to Ligue 1, and is still the club’s first choice in 2007–08, their third consecutive season in the top-flight.
He received his first international call-up on October 2008 for a friendly against Tunisia.
