Reports have emerged claiming that Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini chose to take in the second-half against Barcelona from the media box.
The Mirror says the Frenchman was substituted 44 minutes into the 3-1 defeat and was then spotted watching the game in the press room rather than on the bench with his team-mates.
Flamini had looked angrily at Arsene Wenger as he left the field but the Arsenal manager insisted he made the change due to an injury.
Wenger said: “I didn’t know where he was. I’m not sure he was allowed on the bench. He was injured. He had treatment after half-time.
“I wouldn’t say that on a night of great football that was the most important thing about the game.”
