Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil has expressed his delight with his winning home debut for the Spanish giants on Saturday.
The Germany international midfielder impressed and lived up to his potential in the 1-0 home win over local rivals Osasuna.
The former Werder Bremen ace said : “I was proud to hear the applause from the audience, really,”.
“The crowd is helping me a lot, but also all my colleagues.
The 21 year old attacking midfielder also added that : “I always want to give the best on the field and hope people leave happy with my football at the end of the match … especially if we win.”
Ozil signed for Real Madrid foe a fee believed to be around the region of €15m and has so far made 2 competitive appearance for his club coached by Jose Mourinho.
