Jose Mourinho has admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo was struggling with his eyesight after being elbowed during victory at Levante.
The Portuguese international star was due to visit hospital last night after complaining that he could not see properly in both eyes.
“It was impossible for him to continue,” said Mourinho.
“Cristiano could not see well in either eye.”
Ronaldo was due to visit hospital upon the squad’s return to Madrid in the early hours of this morning.
