Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that he signed Sami Khedira because he is “a typical German player”.
The Germany international midfield powerhouse who had a stellar World Cup joined the Spanish giants earlier this week.
Mourinho said: “Khedira is a midfield player, typically German, and with that it says everything.
“We have many attacking players. We needed someone to give strength to the game, he can do so by keeping us more compact. He has physical strength, discipline, and also is very young.
“Besides which, he can still be important because he can also get forward and score goals.”
