West Brom defender Steven Reid believes the Peter Odemwingie transfer saga will not affect the club’s form.
Odemwingie arrived at QPR’s Loftus Road on transfer deadline day, despite the Baggies saying no fee was agreed.
Chairman Jeremy Peace labelled his actions “wholly unprofessional”.
Reid told BBC WM: “We’ll deal with it. We’ve got a lot of strong characters in the dressing room. Peter’s with us from now until the end of the season and we’ve got to deal with it as a squad.”
Albion had admitted on the final day of the January transfer window that talks over Odemwingie between the two clubs, who was subject to a unsuccessful R’s bid of around £3m earlier in the month, had continued but no agreement was reached.
On Friday, the Nigeria international was told not to return to training until this week, and was left out of the squad that lost 1-0 to Tottenham on Sunday.
