Spanish giants Real Madrid are believed to be continuing talks with Velez Sarsfield for a possible transfer of defender Nicolas Otamendi.
Local Spanish newspapers have reported that Otamendi could arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu as a direct replacement for Ezequiel Garay, who is agitating for a move to Juventus.
It is a wide known fact that Otamendi has broken into Diego Maradona’s Argentina squad and Real Madrid General Manager Jorge Valdano is keen to do business for around the region of £10 million.
It is also reported that Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini rates Otamendi highly, particularly with his leg speed, which the current rearguard lacks.
Otamendi was born in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 12 of 1988 and he is 21 years old now and is 1.78 meters in height.
