Reports are out claiming that Real Madrid’s swoop for Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic isn’t the end of Rafa Benitez’s buying plans this month.
Benitez will welcome Kovacic today and give the green light for the sale of Asier Illarramendi.
However, AS says he still wants to add one more senior player to his squad – a centre-forward.
Benitez wants a player capable of playing with his back to goal and able to lead the attacking line.
Juventus striker Fernando Llorente is on Benitez’s shopping list, though Harry Kane is also being discussed.
Real sports chief Jose Angel Sanchez’s scouts have been following the Tottenham striker for the past 18 months.
