Reports are out claiming that Lucas Vazquez is urging Real Madrid to buy back Alvaro Morata from Juventus – and keep him.
Morata is the subject of transfer tug-of-war between Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, though the deal to bring him to the Premier League hinges on Real Madrid’s buy-back clause.
Speaking to El Partido, Vazquez said: “Hopefully Madrid re-sign Morata.
“He’s had two exceedingly good years and if that’s what the club decides it’ll be good for everyone.”
The London Evening Standard says while Morata will wait until the end of Euro 2016 to decide his future, he is attracted by a move to London – with Chelsea confident of sealing a deal.
Incoming boss Antonio Conte instructed Juve to sign Morata back in 2014, but left to take charge of the Italian national team before the deal was concluded.
