It has been reported that Real Madrid will owe Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea a cool €10 million if they fail to sign him in the next four weeks.
El Confidencial claims that Real and De Gea signed a pre-contract earlier this summer, which includes a €10 million from Real if they do not sign the Spaniard before August 20.
Real want De Gea, despite adding Kiko Casilla to their ranks in the last week. Real chiefs are unconvinced that Casilla and Keylor Navas can handle the pressure of being the club’s No1.
De Gea is currently with United’s squad in the US and is due to play his first game of the preseason against Barcelona.
Real, despite United’s stubbornness, are convinced they’re bluffing when it comes to claims they’re happy for De Gea to run down the final year of his current deal.
United are demanding €30 million from Real to part with their No1.
