On-loan Hercules wing-back Royston Drenthe has declared that he intends to return to parent club Real Madrid.
The Dutch international defender has enjoyed a return to his best form since, becoming a key part of Esteban Vigo’s squad as they have thrilled the Primera Division.
However, speaking in an interview with AS, the 23-year-old stated that he hopes to return to prove himself at the capital club.
He stated: “Real Madrid are a big club, they always have more quality than other teams, and it is always difficult to establish yourself among so many great players.
“I think I am a player who wants to give everything. I play with my heart and I consider myself to be a winner. I always think that I have to go back to Real Madrid. I’m enjoying my football now, but the issue is clear, I am a Real Madrid player. In my head, I will always return there.”
