Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has backed Paul Scholes to keep playing for Manchester United for at least two more seasons.
Paul Scholes popped up with the winner in Istanbul as United kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 1-0 win over Besiktas.
The veteran midfielder, now age 34, has a contract for this season but boss Ferguson thinks he can continue through the next campaign.
Ferguson said that he does not think that this will be Scholes last season, not the way that he plays.
Sir Alex also said that Scholes is a football man and that he is not going to drop through the leagues.
Ferguson also said that he has read news of Paul Scholes playing for Oldham in his last year and said that there is no chance that will happen.
However Sir Alex said that Scholes will miss more games than he plays but Sir Alex said that he will be delighted if he can get 25 games out of Paul Scholes.
