Sevilla 2-2 Borussia Dortmund – Match Highlights

Sevilla put aside their miserable recent run of form to gain the point they needed against Borussia Dortmund to secure their place in the last 32 of the Europa League, with the German side exiting the competition.

The Spanish outfit, UEFA Cup winners in 2006 and 2007, came into the game on the back of five successive defeats and they suffered a nightmare start as they went behind inside four minutes to a goal from Shinji Kagawa.

However, Gregorio Manzano’s men hit back with quickfire goals from Ndri Romaric and Frederic Kanoute, and although runaway Bundesliga leaders Dortmund drew level in the 49th minute through Neven Subotic, it was not enough to deny the hosts who progress in second place in Group J behind Paris St Germain.

4′ S. Kagawa [0 – 1]
31′ Romaric [1 – 1]
35′ F. Kanouté [2 – 1]

49′ N. Subotic [2 – 2]
