Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has admitted that manager Louis van Gaal wants more aggression from him.
The England international centre-back has made a strong start to this campaign.
And Smalling, 25, revealed: “The manager wanted me to be more aggressive – it’s something I enjoy.
“I always relish that battle with the striker. The manager has also told me not to be afraid to come out from the back with the ball.”
