Reports are out claiming that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez slipped through his French scouting net.
The 24-year-old has contributed 14 goals and 10 assists this season, remarkable figures for a player Wenger admitted he had no heard of before his arrival in England.
“I didn’t know him honestly, he played in the second division in France,” Wenger said.
“He has developed extremely well; today he is one of the dominant players in the Premier League.
“It is important to know that with quality work, quality scouting and quality management you can have great results.”
