West Ham Desperate To Fend Off Arsenal, Man Utd From Rising Star

Reece Oxford

Reports are out claiming that West Ham United remain locked in new contract talks with Reece Oxford.

The Daily Star reported that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been keeping a close eye on 15-year-old Oxford, who was an unused substitute for West Ham in their Capital One Cup defeat to League One side Sheffield United in September.

Reports suggest the Hammers have failed to reach an agreement with the defender, who has been labelled ‘the next Rio Ferdinand’ by some youth football experts.

Oxford has been a regular for West Ham’s Under-21 side this campaign and captained the England Under-17 side in the summer.
